Who we are

We believe the way we work makes a difference

Wherever you meet us in Scandinavia, you should get a clear sense of who we are and how we work.

Who we are

We know a lot about vehicles. But first and foremost, it’s about people.

Bilstatistik is built on data, technology and more than 25 years of experience in the vehicle market. But if you ask us what has really brought us this far, the answer is relationships.

Relationships with the industry. With our partners. And, not least, with the people who use our solutions every single day.

Because we believe the best solutions are developed in close collaboration with the people who will use them.

Our history

Close to the industry since 2000 (and, in fact, long before that)

Our story begins in the Danish automotive industry. DBI IT – the team behind Bilstatistik – has its roots in the industry association Mobility Denmark, formerly known as De Danske Bilimportører. This has given us close ties to the industry right from the start.

Since 2000, we have followed vehicles throughout their entire lifecycle: from before they receive their number plates until the day they are exported or scrapped. Along the way, we collect, structure and quality-assure the data our customers use to understand their markets and make better decisions.

Today, we operate in both Denmark and Sweden, and our technology is also used in Norway through our partner OFV. More than 11,000 users across Scandinavia already work with our solutions.

We have grown considerably since the beginning. But our ambition remains the same: to make vehicle data useful – and to be the best at it.

We go the extra mile for quality

To us, data is never just data.

Every day, our data informs decisions about everything from sales and market developments to vehicle fleets, insurance and investments. That is why accuracy matters.

We calculate a wide range of data points ourselves, and every night we check and harmonise data from our external sources. It is not necessarily the easiest way to do things. But it is the way we want to work.

Because quality is not just a feature to us. It is the foundation – of our data, our technology and the help you receive when you call us.

And when something does not go as planned? We say so. Trust takes a long time to build and very little time to lose, and we take that seriously.

We are more than a software provider

These days, there is no shortage of data. Or of technology to process it.

What we also make a priority is what comes next: helping you understand what the data means for your particular business and where the opportunities lie.

That is why we develop our solutions around our customers’ needs, the feedback we receive and the market knowledge our colleagues have built up over many years.

Some members of our team have actually worked with Bilstatistik for longer than the company has existed in its current form. That gives us a depth of industry expertise that is hard to replicate in code.

We would rather pick up the phone and solve a problem than send you around a support system. And although we are growing and expanding into more markets, we have no ambition to become so big that we lose that personal connection.

We care about doing things properly. We are curious. And we want to be the people you feel like calling when you have questions, good ideas or something is not working as it should.

Support

At Bilstatistik, support is a natural part of the customer experience

Hear Klaus Bernhof Jakobsen, Head of Customer Experience at Bilstatistik, explain the importance of personal and accessible customer support.

At Bilstatistik, support is a natural part of the customer experience. Customers should always be able to get help whenever they need it – through both direct contact and personalised guidance. It's about building close relationships with each customer and ensuring they get the most out of Bilstatistik's solutions.

Our workplace

Equal parts influence, diversity and next-level geekiness

Our values are not something an HR department has printed on a coffee mug. They should be reflected in the way we work.

We have a flat hierarchy, plenty of say in how things are done and a fairly informal atmosphere. We help each other, share what we know and believe that good solutions generally get better when different perspectives come together. That is also why we sometimes get a little more geeky about vehicle data than most people would consider entirely reasonable.

But that is just how we are.
